A Heart 4 People Farm
AH4Pās mission is to seed, grow, and distribute fresh produce to feed senior citizens and families in need. Collaborating with churches, food pantries, food-rescue organizations, and community nonprofits, AH4P provides free produce, seeds, and grow kits throughout the region. The Fort Lincoln farm site, a DC DPR Partner Urban Farm in Ward 5, received a 2023ā2024 Chesapeake Bay Trust award to support distributing fresh produce to 1,100 seniors. In 2024, partnership with Pantry on the Go reached 1,423 families, and an aggregate contract with the Capital Area Food Bank provides produce to 100ā300 individuals and families weekly. At the Luther O. Hebron Food Bank in St. Mark United Methodist Church, 800 families regularly receive food. Looking ahead, AH4P will also collaborate with the Mayor of Upper Marlboro on food distribution and community garden initiatives in 2025.
